The GCC Human Resources and Labor Market Conference discusses the future of entrepreneurship in the digital economy

The Sixth Session of the GCC Human Resources and Labor Market Conference organized by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry at the Sharjah Expo Center discussed under the slogan “The Gulf Labor Market in the Growth of the Digital Economy”. Presented by Jaber bin Salim bin Ali Al Ajmi, Director of Public Relations and Media Department at the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development in Oman, Haifa Mohammed Ali Al Shammari, Director of Human Resources at ESA and Ali Hassan Ahmed Enable project in the Sultanate of Oman and the meeting was chaired by Adnan Hussein Mndorh Management and Planning Consultant in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The session concluded with the recent working paper presented by Ali Hassan Ahmed, entitled “Improving Human Resources, Institutional Development and Entrepreneurship”. Women’s economic empowerment.
The second session discussed ways and means of supporting the Gulf employment from knowledge economy markets, which was moderated by Dr. Muhannad Al Asfour, member of the Labor Market Regulatory Committee at the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, during which Widad Ahmed Salem Al Shamlan Al Zaabi, Director of Career Guidance Department, Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, UAE The Ministry targets school and university students in order to make them aware of the importance of working in the private sector through the provision of vocational guidance to allow students to identify their abilities, professional preferences and appropriate jobs.
Alaa Zakaria Al-Sheikh, Senior Consultant at Gallup Middle East, presented his work paper, which emphasized that the shift to the knowledge economy will intensify the rapid change in the work environment as well as the change in the workforce. By 2022, he pointed out that talent and innovation are the key to achieving optimal use of the workforce in the knowledge economy environment.
The session concluded with a review of Dr. Hani Mohammed Zubair Chowdhury, Director of the Center for Education Output Alignment with the Labor Market in Saudi Arabia and means of innovation and creativity in the knowledge economy. He pointed to the experience of the Center, which contributes to linking education outputs with the labor market by supporting and developing educational programs and knowledge society in universities to meet the needs Labor market.
On the second day of the conference, a seminar was held in the presence of a number of representatives of academic institutions in the GCC countries who reviewed how to benefit from the graduation projects of the members of academic institutions and ways to direct them to modern topics of importance locally and internationally. Contributes to the creation of startups and innovative companies that meet the requirements of the digital revolution.
