US stock indices close higher

Wall Street’s main stock indexes closed higher at the close on Friday.
The Dow Jones industrial average ended the session up 306.62 points, or 1.2 percent, to 25,886.01 points.
The Standard & Poor’s 500 Index added 41.08 points, or 1.44 percent, to 2,888.68.
The Nasdaq Composite Index of Technology Shares rose 129.38 points, or 1.67 percent, to 7,895.99 points.
