Saudi-Egyptian talks to enhance cooperation in the field of specifications and quality

The Saudi capital Riyadh hosted the third meeting of the Saudi-Egyptian technical committee in the field of specifications and measurements, over two days at the headquarters of the Saudi Organization for Standardization, Metrology and Quality.
During the meeting, the Committee reviewed means and mechanisms to enhance joint technical cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Arab Republic of Egypt in the field of supporting trade exchange and technical cooperation in the various standardization and quality activities.
The meetings of the Technical Committee were chaired by the Saudi Governor of the Saudi Organization for Standardization, Metrology and Quality, Dr. Saad Othman Al-Qasabi.
Dr. Ashraf Afif, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Export and Import Control, and Dr. Amani Al-Wasal, Acting Head of Trade Agreements and Trade Sector. Ministry of Commerce, and a number of officials from the concerned Egyptian authorities.
These meetings are a continuation of the implementation of the recommendations of the sixteenth session of the Saudi-Egyptian Joint Committee, which was held in May 2018. It was chaired by the Saudi Minister of Trade and Investment Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al Qasabi and the Egyptian side by Minister of Trade and Industry Eng. Tareq Qabeel. To further promote cooperation in the fields of specifications and quality between the two countries.
