Quality initiatives to empower the private sector

The Department of Economic Development (Abu Dhabi) has implemented a package of initiatives that will be part of the “Tomorrow 21” program to strengthen partnership with the private sector in the various strategic sectors in the emirate to enhance its position as a regional and global hub for business.
The Department’s initiatives included the immediate license and stimulation of the industry through electricity tariff, local content program and technology licenses, as well as previous initiatives, the Abu Dhabi dealer license, the dual license of companies operating in free zones, the all-in-one service for economic licenses, the decision to add business and service activities to industrial enterprises, Which is overseen by the Abu Dhabi Economic Development Council.
The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (Abu Dhabi) Department of Economic Development (ADED) said that the latest initiatives launched by the Department in the framework of the “Tomorrow 21” program are based on stimulating business, investment, community development and developing the knowledge and innovation system to enhance Abu Dhabi’s competitiveness, leadership and economic, developmental and social progress.
He added that these initiatives aim to provide an enabling and nurturing environment that ensures the prosperity and expansion of economic establishments in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi by facilitating licensing services to become one of the best destinations for business and investment.
He pointed out that the Department’s initiatives are aimed at stimulating the private sector to participate effectively in the Abu Dhabi economy and make it a major engine for achieving sustainable economic development. He added that these initiatives are part of the strategic plan of the Department. Strategically with the government sector in implementing its projects and development programs in the industrial and business sectors.
For his part, Undersecretary of the Department of Economic Development said that the department is considering further initiatives to achieve the goals of the “Tomorrow 21” program and to focus on activating cooperation with the private sector in order to enhance Abu Dhabi’s economic and investment status.
He added that the immediate economic license for all economic activities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and listed by the Department will contribute to enhancing the role of the private sector as the main engine for sustainable economic development and increase the contribution of the business sector to the gross domestic product of the emirate and stimulate attracting investments to the emirate in various economic sectors.
He pointed out that the decision to add commercial and service activities to industrial establishments in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi comes within the context of the policy of expanding the business sector and developing services at the level of the emirate through the participation of industrial companies in the conduct of business and service.
Abu Dhabi Executive Council (ADCCI) said that the “Partnership” initiative, which is overseen by the Council and its joining the integrated services system “Tam”, is a step towards unifying the efforts of the Abu Dhabi government to create direct and reliable communication between government agencies and the private sector.
He explained that the “partnership” platform aims to build a safe communication mechanism to promote constructive and transparent dialogue between the public and private sectors, where the cases and claims are handled through a set of criteria to settle financial claims and work on disbursement at the due date
