His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, said that on Martyr’s Day, the leadership and people gather around the memory of our righteous martyrs, and we renew our high appreciation for their generous giving.
And His Highness added, in a speech addressed to the “Dir’ al-Watan” magazine on the occasion of Martyr’s Day, “Our armed forces, along with our security and civil protection agencies, have proven that they are an impregnable shield for our homeland, and a strong umbrella that protects it from the dangers and customs of time.”
“In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, Emirati men and women, may God’s peace, mercy, and blessings be upon you.
Today, the leadership and the people gather around the memory of our honorable martyrs, and we renew our high appreciation for their generous giving, courage, courage, and sacrifices for the sake of the freedom, security, and stability of our homeland and our people.
In our meeting today, we extend our thanks and gratitude to our valiant armed forces, as the martyrs came from among its cadres, and gave testimony to the morality of its employees, the depth of their loyalty and affiliation, the sincerity of their commitment to the soldiery oath, and their constant readiness to fulfill the call of duty at any time and in any place.
Our armed forces, along with our security agencies and civil protection agencies, have proven that they are an impregnable shield for our homeland, and a strong umbrella that protects it from the dangers and customs of the times. In addition, our armed forces have had, and still are, a major role in supporting our military industries, which now meet an important part of arming our forces, and increase our economy in size and diversity. This is in addition to its effective contribution to strengthening our Emirati scientific community and providing it with competencies.
As this day is devoted to honoring our martyrs, the honor is extended to their honorable families who raised them well on the highest national values, guided them to serve in the military, and vowed them to the noblest mission and honorable goal.
The patience and composure shown by these families, their acknowledgment of God’s will and destiny, and their belief that the martyrs are alive with their Lord will remain engraved in the memory of our country. Perhaps the services provided by the Martyrs’ Families’ Affairs Office will alleviate their suffering, and embody for them the gratitude of the UAE leadership and society for their sacrifices, and their appreciation for what fathers, mothers, wives, children, brothers and relatives endured from the anguish of parting with their loved ones.
Here, I extend my sincere thanks to my brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, may God protect him, for his constant care for the families of the martyrs, and his keenness to secure their needs and educate their children. This is a small part of what His Highness offered and is offering our homeland on the civil and military levels.
Hey fellow citizens
The blood of our martyrs will remain a deposit in our chests, and their bounty will remain a bright beacon in our present and future. They showed the best of our people’s qualities, and gave with their lives the highest values of giving that are present in the conscience of our people, and whose roots extend in our faith, heritage and culture. The martyrs also affirmed that the greatest achievements of our country lie in building the Emirati man, who has demonstrated high competence in all civil and military fields, and that he is valiant, courageous and daring, responds to the call, does not hesitate in facing dangers, that he is generous in all aspects of work, and that he is committed to his leadership and inspired by its visions and aspirations.
I invite you, sons and daughters of my country, to teach our rising generations the meaning of martyrdom and the status of a martyr, and that Martyr’s Day is a symbol for all days of the year, and that our people are innate to believe in the message of the martyrs written in their pure blood, that our homeland is the most precious thing we have, and that it deserves from its sons and daughters to sacrifice the precious and precious things so that its banner remains. Flickering, and his freedom preserved, teach our rising generations that the message of the martyrs also calls for diligence in the classroom, commitment to good morals, mastery of work, and concern for the name of the Emirates and its fragrant reputation.
I ask God Almighty to reward our martyrs with the best reward, and to cover our country and our people with his care, care and generosity, and to perpetuate security, stability, progress and prosperity for our country.
