The Hope Probe observed late fall on Mars from an altitude of 39,800 km

The Emirates Mars Exploration Project, the “Probe of Hope”, announced observations on July 4, 2022, late fall of the northern hemisphere of the red planet, specifically at 259 degrees solar longitude, from an altitude of about 39,800 kilometers, by means of the Digital Exploration Camera.

The project said in a tweet on Twitter that, during this season and during the winter of the Northern Hemisphere, the Arctic region is obscured by dense clouds of water ice, called the Arctic cover.

And he continued: It was noticed through the attached picture, the presence of bright and dark lines in the Arctic cover, as one of the explanations for this phenomenon is represented in the regional winds, which interact with the high terrain of the huge shield volcano “Alba Patera”, “south of the Arctic cover near The separator at the top left”, causing atmospheric waves to become invisible as alternating bright and dark patterns in the Arctic Cap Clouds.
The project stated that it is also possible to see the “Vallis Mariners” group of valleys below the center of the image, partially obscured by the dust haze on the red planet, to form bright and dark lines in the north pole cover of Mars.
