Egypt participates in the G20 financial track meetings in Tokyo

Minister of Finance Dr. Mohamed Moait will participate in the G20 financial track meetings scheduled to be held in the Japanese capital of Tokyo starting Wednesday (January 16th) and will last until Jan. 18.
The results and outcomes of the finance ministers ‘finance ministers’ meetings are expected to be a prelude to the G20 presidential summit to be held in Osaka, Japan, in June, the ministry statement said.
The agenda of the meetings includes important and effective discussions on the priorities of the G-20 financial track in 2019, which focuses on the risks of the global economy and the challenges faced by all member countries in facing the imbalances of the world and the impact on the financial and economic policies adopted in each country.
The agenda of the meetings also includes a series of meetings to discuss the target of achieving sustainable global growth rates and the importance of focusing on increasing the investments of countries in the infrastructure so as to achieve effective and comprehensive growth as an important structural reform necessary for developing peoples.

Egypt’s participation is expected to be effective and positive as it is expected that Egypt will participate in this important forum with its successful experience over the last two years in implementing a comprehensive economic and social reform program capable of helping the Egyptian economy to face all global and internal challenges. The statement pointed out that these meetings come within the framework of Egypt received an invitation to participate in the G20 meetings during 2019 under the presidency of the State of Japan, in light of Egypt’s presidency of the African Union during this year.
