Egypt implements 11 new petrochemical projects at a cost of $ 19 billion

Egypt announced the implementation and study of 11 new petrochemical production projects at a cost of about $ 19 billion, including two giant refining and petrochemical complexes in the economic zone at the Suez Canal hub and the new city of El Alamein in order to activate the state’s vision to develop the two regions as well as development projects and raise efficiency and increase production capacity with a number of projects Production of existing petrochemicals.

Engineer Tariq Al-Mulla, the Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, said that the sites designated for the establishment of new projects were chosen based on accurate studies, taking into account the benefit of all available ingredients and the proximity to the sources of nutrition, projects and logistical facilities that were established in all governorates to facilitate the movement of freight, handling and export of products in a way that leads To reduce costs and maximize project economics and support to achieve its ultimate goal of increasing added value.
