Unemployment in Morocco is declining

Morocco’s unemployment rate fell to 10 percent at the end of September, down from 10.6 percent a year ago, citing a growth in job opportunities in the services sector.
The number of unemployed fell by 64,000 to 1.172 million, the Employment Office said in a statement.
For a year, starting in the third quarter of 2017, the economy provided 122,000 jobs compared to 89,000 in the previous year, she said.
The service sector provided 98,000 jobs, followed by industry and handicrafts with 19,000 jobs.
The government expects the domestic economy to grow 3.6 percent this year and 3.2 percent in 2019.
