Negotiations in Brussels on the EU budget for next year

Media In Agencies November 16,
Negotiators representing the European Council and the Federal Legislative Council will begin negotiations in Brussels today to develop a consensus between the two European institutions on the EU budget for next year.
The budget covers the entire range of common European labor sectors, such as aid to farmers and support for poorer areas, as well as research and education programs at the level of the 28-nation bloc.
The deliberations began with a meeting of EU finance ministers before the meeting with negotiators from the European Parliament.
Both sides are trying to resolve the spending cuts demanded by European governments, while lawmakers in the European Parliament call for more spending.
For the year 2019, the parliament demanded a budget of 149.3 billion euros, while Member States approved 148.2 billion euros.
The parliament rejected the cuts proposed by Member States to the growth and job creation plans totaling € 794 million.
