The annual investment forum focuses on the software services and information technology sector

The annual Investment Forum 2019, organized by the Ministry of Economy from April 8 to 10 in Dubai, highlights the evolving investment landscape on the global scene with a focus on the software and IT services sector.
The forum will launch the Global Investment Map, which will include information on investment destinations around the world, targeted sectors, projects and focal points for all participants.
The ninth session of the forum comes at a time when the UAE will see a rise in the inflow of foreign direct investment between 15 and 20 percent until 2020.
The current session of the forum provides a real assessment of the investment opportunities in the UAE, which is one of the most dynamic economic leaders in the Middle East and North Africa and emerging markets in the world.
The forum will focus on the future of the global economic scene and its impact on foreign direct investment and growth prospects in emerging markets and the importance of attracting foreign investments through investment incentives, investment legislation and flexibility in entering emerging markets.
“Software and IT services continue to attract more global investment as we continue to improve the digital age today,” said Daoud Al Shezawi, chairman of the organizing committee. In the time of rapid technological innovations, including automation, adding that developed countries are working all over the world to quickly align their efforts with these rapid developments to remain competitive globally and keep abreast of the changing nature of industries and business models.
He pointed out that the industry, including artificial intelligence, robotics, massive data, “Block Qin” and smart cities, will be put on the spotlight during the forum so that the participating global economies can discuss how to rethink their curricula and adjust their strategies accordingly. Sustainable economic practices, renewable energy and small enterprises Medium and emerging companies are the main areas of discussions at the event as well.
