UK food producers looking to take advantage of Gulfood 2019

The Gulfood 2019 exhibition, currently hosted by Dubai, offers an ideal opportunity for food and beverage producers in the UK. More than 98,000 food and beverage professionals are participating in the exhibition, where a group of food and beverage producers from various sectors in the UK are taking part in the event. More than 79 British companies in its activities.
“The Gulfood 2019 provides them with a great platform to attract a wide range of new customers,” said Henry Obancho, export director of Grandma Singlons, a family-run, five-generation, northwestern England based cheese industry. We have had a lot of positive talks with buyers from Ukraine, Pakistan and various countries of the Middle East.
Dr. Phil Hadley, Director of International Market Development at AHDB, a tax-based organization financed by farmers and other entities across the supply chain, said there are many potential opportunities in the Middle East and North Africa Gulfood 2019 is the ideal platform to take advantage of these opportunities at a time when the UK Agriculture and Gardening Development Council will participate in Gulfood 2019, representing 12 British meat producers.
“Gulfood is the most important international exhibition today because it offers valuable opportunities beyond the boundaries of the Middle East,” said Eckley. “We have to take advantage of the opportunities and potentials that it brings to the exhibition. British companies participating in Gulfood 2019 include the British company The Metles Farm Company, which competes with the traditional meat products sector through the provision of meat substitute products of plant origin. The company has entered into an agreement with Spinneys in the United Arab Emirates.
