The markets of Al-Qatif witnessed a stable commercial movement, after the Ministry of Interior decided to temporarily suspend entry and exit to and from the governorate and stop work in government departments, except for the basic facilities to provide the necessary security, health and catering services.

A number of merchants in Qatif clarified the abundance of products and supplies in large quantities, and there is no cause for concern, stressing the continued opening of ports to cross goods according to the statement, and that the Kingdom’s economy is strong and diversified in such circumstances.
For his part, Hani Al-Afaliq, head of the Commercial Committee of the Eastern Chamber of Commerce, stressed that what has been taken of measures to curb the spread of the disease is to check on the progress of the procedures and prevent the outbreak of the disease in the event of its occurrence, God forbid, noting that these measures are temporary while many developed countries take such that.
In the same context, the Ministry of Commerce teams continued their field visits in  Qatif  to control establishments, control cases of commercial fraud, attempts to manipulate prices and impose a regular penalty on violators to protect consumers.
It is mentioned that the Ministry of Trade confirmed in its statement a complete abundance of goods, products and stock in  Qatif  and the monitoring of supply chains in all regions of the Kingdom.
The Ministry of Commerce urged all consumers to understand the precautionary measures to ensure their safety, calling for complaints or comments to be reported through the Communications Center on the number 1900 or through the application of a “commercial communication” or the Ministry’s official website on the Internet
