An Iranian delegation in Abu Dhabi to discuss activating economic cooperation

Khalifa Shaheen Al-Marar, Minister of State, met Dr. Mahdi Safri, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic Diplomatic Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the economic delegation accompanying him, at the General Court of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in Abu Dhabi.
A number of meetings were held that discussed activating economic cooperation between the two countries in various areas of common interest, especially energy, trade, transport and tourism.
In the opening speech of the economic meetings between the two sides, Saeed Mubarak Al-Hajri, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for Economic and Trade Affairs, touched on the trade relations between the two countries, which are an embodiment of the partnerships that the private sector can build on the foundations of cooperation, trust and mutual benefit.
He also expressed the UAE’s hope that this visit would contribute to strengthening mutual coordination and studying opportunities for economic exchange between the two sides.
For his part, Dr. Safry emphasized the importance of following up the recommendations and outputs that were discussed between the concerned teams from both sides.
The meetings come within the framework of economic cooperation and the development of relations between the two countries in a way that achieves common interests and contributes to consolidating the foundations of stability, peace and prosperity in the region.
