million tourists with tourism income of 3.2 billion to Jordan for the end of July this year 3

Revenues from tourism income in the Kingdom increased by 8.6 percent to the end of July this year, according to the latest data released by the Central Bank of Jordan.
According to preliminary data released by the bank on Wednesday, tourism income increased by 8.6 percent to 3.2 billion dollars (2.3 billion dinars), compared with 2.95 billion dinars for the same period in 2018.
The bank said the rise was mainly due to a 6.3 percent increase in the total number of tourists compared to the same period in 2018 to reach 2,970,000.
On the monthly level, preliminary data showed that the Kingdom’s revenues from tourism income in July increased by 10.1 percent to $ 567.4 million compared to $ 515.3 million in the corresponding month of 2018, as a result of the increase in the total number of tourists by 9.8 percent.
