The balance sheet of the Central Bank of the Emirates rose to 495.54 billion dirhams last July, approaching half a trillion dirhams, an increase of 4.2%, or 19.93 billion dirhams, compared to July 2021.
In addition, the banking sector in the UAE recorded an increase in deposits during the first seven months of this year, by 136 billion dirhams, by 6.4%, to 2.13 trillion dirhams at the end of July 2022, compared to 1.99 trillion dirhams at the end of December 2021.
The credit granted by banks during the period between January and July rose by about 63.4 billion dirhams, a growth of 3.4%, to 1.857 trillion dirhams at the end of last July, compared to 1.79 trillion dirhams at the end of December 2021.
