Dubai visitors exceed 9 million in 8 months, a growth of 182%

The tourism sector in Dubai continued its strong performance, after the city’s hotels recorded more than 9.1 million international visitors during the period between January and August 2022, after receiving about one million international visitors last August, according to data from the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai.

The strong momentum continued over the first eight months of 2022, as the city’s hotels achieved a growth in the number of international visitors by 182%, compared to 3.23 million visitors in the corresponding period of 2021, and reduced the difference compared to pre-pandemic levels in which 10.86 million visitors were recorded, while It outperformed 2019 levels in prices, returns, number of nights and operational capacity.
