Launching the institutional identity of Saudi Aramco and Petronas petrochemical plants and projects in Penang, Malaysia

Saudi Aramco and Malaysia’s national oil company Petronas today announced the institutional identity of their joint projects at the Penangrang Complex, located in Penangraang, Johor, Malaysia. D. that. B. H. D (Prefekem Refining), and Bingrang Petrochemical Company. D. that. B. H. (Prefekim Petrochemical), collectively referred to as Brifkm.
In March 2018, Saudi Aramco and Petronas signed a share purchase agreement allowing them to acquire an equal share in the refinery, cracking unit and selected petrochemical facilities at the integrated Pinnergang Complex and to participate in the work being carried out.
The Pangarang Refining and Petrochemicals Complex is a strategic alliance between two of the world’s largest and most successful national oil companies, Petronas of Malaysia and Saudi Aramco. The two companies have two joint ventures, Pangrang Refining and Pangrang Petrochemicals, And a strong commercial presence of two companies with world-class refining and cracking operations and petrochemical facilities in the Integrated Refining and Petrochemicals Development (Rapid) No matter what the integrated Pangarang complex in Johor, southern Malaysia.
The refining capacity of the complex is 300,000 barrels of crude oil per day and will produce a range of refined petroleum products, including jet fuel with low sulfur content as well as petrol and diesel. The project products meet Euro 5 fuel specifications and will also provide feedstock for the integrated petrochemical complex with nominal capacity Estimated at 3.3 million tons per year.
