“EDGE” concludes two contracts worth 70 million dirhams within “IDEX 2023”

Edge, one of the world’s leading advanced technology groups, announced today, Wednesday, that it has won two contracts, with a total value exceeding 70 million dirhams, to provide several “V-Protect” convoy protection solutions and “Sky Shield anti-drone” solutions to a major international client.

The agreements, which were announced on the sidelines of the currently held International Defense Exhibition and Conference (IDEX 2023), contribute to strengthening the UAE’s export development strategy and consolidating the country’s position as a major global player in the defense and advanced technology sectors.

Omar Al Zaabi, Senior Vice President, Commercial and Mission Support at Edge, said: “We are pleased to announce another major export deal for Signal and Edge that will see us manufacture and deliver convoy protection solutions (Sky Shield Anti-Drone) and (V-Protect) manufactured In the UAE for an international client.

Al Zaabi pointed out that “the signing of these two deals would confirm the quality of our distinguished offers and conformity to the highest international standards, and we will continue to promote our superior solutions in the international market to support the country’s exports of advanced technology products, in addition to strengthening the defense industrial base of the United Arab Emirates alike.”

The Edge Group revealed that it had received orders with a total value of more than 5 billion US dollars in the past 2022, of which the global export rate reached 35 percent.

In the first two days of IDEX 2023, the group announced new orders for products and solutions totaling more than 10 billion dirhams, including international exports, with more orders expected to be announced before the end of the event.
