The UAE Tennis Federation will organize more than 150 tournaments in 2023

Dubai, January 3 / The UAE Tennis Federation announced that it will organize more than 150 registered tournaments during the year 2023, as part of its strategic plan to support and develop the game, and increase its spread base among the various groups of society.

The federation initially organizes its championships for categories under 12 years old, with 43 championships, divided between 22 for males, 21 for females, and 30 championships for the U-14 category equally between males and females. It also organizes 40 championships for the U-16 category, distributed equally between males and females, as well as Under-18 competitions, with 16 tournaments divided equally between males and females, and 14 tournaments for adults are also organized equally, and 8 tournaments will be organized for over 35 years, in addition to other tournaments for the stages, and two beach tennis tournaments.

Nasser Youssef Al Marzouqi, Secretary General of the Emirates Tennis Federation, confirmed that the Federation continues its approach to organizing many tournaments for different groups and ages, in support of the game and expanding the base of its participants, and contributing to the spread of sport in general among all members of society, as there are many community tournaments that are organized in coordination with sports boards.

He explained: “We have been working for years to ensure that registration for tournaments is electronic on the federation’s official website, as it was initially available to players and academies only, and now registration for tournaments has been opened, and the decision comes in support of the complete electronic transformation of the federation’s work mechanism, as well as facilitating the establishment of tournaments.” “.

The Secretary-General confirmed that, according to this development, more than 1,000 tournaments have been registered electronically for the first time, which facilitates the work of the federation and ends any conflict in tournament dates, even if they are community-based.

He added that the federation is working during the coming period to organize tournaments in Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah, next to Abu Dhabi and Dubai, for the first time, through cooperation with government institutions to provide players and grant field registration, and there is a study to establish tournaments for the age of 55, in addition to the 45 that are being held now. All of them will be accredited according to the International Federation system.
