The Department of Economic Development (ADD) organized a number of events and activities over the course of a week to coincide with the month of innovation in the UAE to enhance the Department’s innovation environment and to spread the culture of innovation as a basis for sustainable development and quality of life.
The event included a series of brainstorming sessions between Abu Dhabi Business Center officials and business owners to develop licensing services and facilitate their procedures in an innovative way to achieve customer satisfaction and enhance the competitive business environment of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
In addition, the ideas of the employees were covered through the innovation panel, where the ideas of development of the work environment were recorded by monitoring a number of challenges and finding innovative solutions that will enhance the work environment of the department and contribute to achieving its strategic objectives.
The Department also participated in the Abu Dhabi Municipality Exhibition (National Innovation) during the period from 3 to 7 February, where the services of the department were introduced in the exhibition in a special platform of the Department to explain its services and presentation to the public.
Mr. Anas Al Otaiba, Executive Director of Corporate Development, said that the department’s innovation week was aimed at enhancing the culture of innovation among employees in the department’s work environment, as well as engaging customers in brainstorming sessions that enhance the services of the department and improve its quality in an innovative manner.
He explained that organizing the Innovation Week in the department reflects the objectives of Emirates Innovation Month and the UAE’s directives in promoting the culture of innovation in the community and preparing a generation of innovators capable of making positive change in all fields.
