An annual Lebanese banking report showed Lebanon was able to achieve a real growth rate of 1% in 2018.
The report, published in Beirut today and explained that this growth comes after the improvement in the activity of Rafik Hariri International Airport because of the increasing number of passengers arriving and departing at the rate of 7.4% for the year 2017 so that reached more than 8.8 million passengers in the year 2018 before.
The report also noted the improvement of tourism based on developments in the number of tourists increased at a rate of 5.8% in 2017 to reach nearly two million tourists in the 2018 year, the improvement also in the national export movement, which expanded by 4.4% year on year to about $ 2.7 billion, up The end of November 2018 is also linked to the growth in the improvement in banking, where assets of commercial banks increased by 13.8% year on year to reach 250 billion dollars by the end of 2018.
