The Saudi Water Distribution Sector announced the completion of 62 water and environmental projects since the beginning of this year until the end of August 2018 in various regions of the Kingdom at a cost of over 1.8 billion riyals, according to its plans based on the national transformation program 2020 and the vision of the Kingdom 2030 to improve the services provided to citizens .
The sector confirmed that the completed projects with regard to the water side amounted to 42 water projects worth more than 1.2 billion riyals, which included the construction and construction of 7 strategic water reservoirs with a capacity of 1.44 million cubic meters, in addition to the completion of the implementation of 39,168 household water connections, Water purification capacity of 55 thousand m3 per day, and the completion of the implementation of water network lines in different regions of the Kingdom exceeded the length of more than 1.539 clio meters long, as well as the completion of the implementation of 7 projects to benefit from well water and dams, noting that the projects belong to the water sector Systeve D of which 391.680 beneficiaries in the various regions of the Kingdom.

He pointed out that the projects related to the sanitation services implemented since the beginning of this year until August 2018 amounted to 20 environmental projects costing more than 605 million riyals, which included environmental treatment plants with a production capacity of 204 thousand m 3 daily, as well as the completion of the implementation of 31.605 connection And completed the implementation of networks with a length of 1,031 km long, stressing that these environmental projects will serve more than 316 thousand beneficiaries of environmental services in different regions of the Kingdom.
