Jordan Energy to submit 12 bids for solar cell project

The Jordanian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources referred 12 tenders to 7 local companies for the implementation of a project to install solar cell systems to generate electricity for 2213 families benefiting from the National Aid Fund in various governorates of the Kingdom at a cost of approximately 466 million dinars paid by the ministry.
According to the decision of the referral, the global company to consult the installation of solar cell systems for the beneficiaries of the project in the provinces of the capital and Madaba and Balqqa and the regions of the northern and central valleys, Gasanya Energy to implement the tender in the province of Zarqa, and ideal for solar energy to implement the tender for the provinces of Irbid and Mafraq and areas of Ruwaished and Azraq and Safawi and Karak.
Nebras Energy Systems Company has the tender to implement the part of Ajloun Governorate, the United Energy Company to execute the tender in Jarash Governorate, and the Misrat Engineering and Contracting Company, the tender for the governorates of Ma’an and Aqaba.
Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Engineer Hala Zwati said in a press statement on Monday that the companies that were selected were among the 23 companies that submitted bids, including the beneficiaries of the first phase of the project, and the number of 2213 families out of about 12 thousand will be covered by the project in 2019 The total number of beneficiaries of the project is about 100 thousand families will be covered for several years.
