The Zaporizhia nuclear power plant was disconnected from the national electricity grid on Monday after a Russian bombing, state nuclear power company Energoatum said, causing back-up diesel generators to work.
She added that the Russians again bombed important substations of the infrastructure… which led to the shutdown of the last line of communication… with a capacity of 750 kV at 03:59.
The facility in southern Ukraine, the largest in Europe, was occupied by Russian forces during the brief period of their invasion of Ukraine about eight months ago, but it is run by a Ukrainian staff.
