Kuwait: Adjusting the status of more than 18,000 illegal residents since 2011

The Kuwaiti Central Agency for the Treatment and Legalization of the Status of Illegal Residents has announced that the status of 18,427 of these people has been modified since 2011 until the end of September 2022.

Director of the Status Adjustment Department in the agency, Brigadier General Muhammad Al-Wahib, said in a statement today (Wednesday) that 9,372 illegal residents have completed the procedures for adjusting their status in all state agencies and have obtained legal residency in the country, adding that the various departments of the agency have inferred the nationalities of 9,055. Another person with confirmed documents and valid evidence belonging to the father, grandfather or the same person, and the agency has notified those concerned about them, and the procedures for adjusting their status are being followed up.
