UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, received at Dubai International Airport on Thursday “the billionth traveler”.
“When Dubai is an airport for 1 billion people, we know we have come to a new station,” Sheikh Mohammed said. “We started a different journey and took off for a more beautiful future.”
“One billion people have taken Dubai as their destination, a billion people we were part of their story … We are the airport, destination and heart of the world.”
He thanked the airport officials and the team, adding: “Our pride is only matched by our humility.”
