NATO begins training on the use of US nuclear bombs in Europe

NATO said on Friday it would begin its annual Steadfast Noon nuclear exercise on Monday, with about 60 aircraft taking part in training flights over Belgium, the North Sea and Britain to train in the use of US nuclear bombs located in Europe.

The nuclear exercises, which do not involve the use of any live bombs, are taking place amid heightened tension after repeated threats by Russia to launch nuclear attacks on Ukraine, following massive military setbacks on the battlefield there.
