Japan records its lowest unemployment rate in 3 years

Tokyo, March 4: The unemployment rate in Japan recorded its lowest level in nearly 3 years last January, with the economy recovering from the repercussions of the “Corona” virus pandemic, as its rate decreased seasonally to reach 2.4%.
And the Japanese Ministry of Internal Affairs stated – in a statement – that the number of employees reached 66.89 million people last January, recording an increase of 430 thousand compared to the same month last year, while the number of unemployed reached 1.64 million people, which is the lowest in 20 months.
On the other hand, new data showed a decline in inflation in the Japanese capital, “Tokyo”, for the first time in more than a year, as the consumer price index rose, in February, by 3.3% compared to the same period last year, which represents a sharp decline in inflation by one point compared to In January, it increased by 4.3%.
