Yahsat celebrates saving the lives of fishermen in the Philippines

Yahsat, the leading provider of satellite communication solutions in the UAE, organized a special ceremony in Manila to celebrate the rescue of seven fishermen lost in the sea between the Philippines and Indonesia, using the Thuraya XT-LITE satellite phone, a flagship solution developed by Yahsat. Thuraya, a subsidiary of the Group, which specializes in mobile satellite communications services.

The ceremony was held in the presence of Mohammed Obaid Al Qattam Al Zaabi, Ambassador of the UAE to the Republic of the Philippines, Adnan Al Muhairi, Chief Technical Officer at Yahsat, Clas Orel, CEO of DelNet, Robert Borg, Commissioner and Vice Chairman of the Climate Change Committee in the Philippines, and Lieutenant Ol Jerish Yipanez of the Philippine Coast Guard, along with representatives from the Philippine Coast Guard and Navy, fishermen and their families.
