Dubai Electricity supports the empowerment of working women

DEWA is keen to provide an ideal, stimulating and sustainable environment that supports working women and contributes to enhancing their capabilities and active participation in the sustainable development process, in addition to achieving psychological and social stability for working mothers. In the framework of this vision, the Authority was one of the first government agencies to establish nurseries (child care centers) to take care of the children of female employees.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of DEWA, said: “In line with the vision and directives of the wise leadership, DEWA continues efforts to empower women by providing a positive and motivating environment that supports working women and helps them achieve a balance between their professional and social lives to achieve success and excellence. Contribute to the empowerment of society as a whole. The authority has established nurseries to care for the children of female employees since 2010 in response to the national nursery project, which was launched under the patronage and support of Her Highness Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairwoman of the Emirates Council for Gender Balance and President of the Dubai Women’s Foundation, with the aim of establishing nurseries in workplaces for government agencies. To enable working women to continue their contribution as a major partner in the comprehensive development process in the country.
