Initiate preparatory meetings for the annual meeting and business forum of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in Jordan

The preparatory meetings for the annual meeting and business forum of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, with the participation of some 2,500 people representing governments, businessmen and academics from around the world, began in Amman today.
On the sidelines of the preparatory meetings, a series of discussion sessions were held, including a session on Jordan’s investment aspirations, entitled “Jordan: Enhancing investment, trade and innovation throughout the region and beyond”.
The annual meeting of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, entitled “Revitalizing Economies”, provides an opportunity to discuss global challenges, including supporting economic growth, combating climate change and enhancing the business environment in the regions where the Bank invests.
The meeting will focus on a number of topics including the energy sector and infrastructure in the sector, sustainability, finance and modern techniques in the provision of financial services, participation in capital financing and the mobilization of investments of global impact.
