Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD), His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, has announced the launch of the Abu Dhabi Export Bureau, which is part of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development.
The launch of the office aims to support the national economy and enhance its competitiveness by providing financing solutions, which provide financing and guarantees to the foreign importer of foreign institutions and companies from the public and private sector wishing to import UAE goods and services, which contributes to increase the rates of national exports and open new markets.
This came during a ceremony held today at the Emirates Palace in the presence of a number of officials, businessmen and investors from various emirates of the UAE.
His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan said that the launch of the Abu Dhabi Export Bureau comes within the framework of the vision of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince. Abu Dhabi Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces for Economic Diversity, which is a firm pillar of the country’s economic policy.
He added that the Abu Dhabi Export Bureau will work to open new and promising markets for national exports and enhance its ability to be present in international markets.
He pointed out that the UAE has achieved during the past ten years many important achievements at the level of the national economy, where the country occupies the first ranks among many global economic indicators, which requires the study of opportunities to support economic sectors and increase rates of national exports and open new outlets for them to maintain the economic status Distinguished by the state.
For his part, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan said that the launch of the Abu Dhabi Export Office represents a qualitative leap in the implementation of economic diversification policies, supporting the national economy and reducing dependence on oil resources as a source of income.
He added that the support of national exports, which is keen on our wise leadership, contributes to the achievement of sustainable development in the UAE and opens wide prospects for exports, especially in the export sectors based on knowledge, innovation and technology.
For his part, Mohammed Saif Al Suwaidi, Director General of Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD), stressed the importance of launching the “Abu Dhabi Export Bureau” at this stage where the national economy is witnessing significant growth. He pointed out that the office will provide financial solutions to encourage national companies to obtain strong export opportunities and enhance their ability to Entering international markets in line with many ambitious initiatives and plans such as the UAE Vision 2021, the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030 and the UAE Centennial 2071, where these initiatives aim to develop the national economy and achieve a policy of economic diversification.
He added that the Abu Dhabi Export Bureau will work within the best international practices to expand the base of export goods and services by providing financing and guarantee facilities to increase national export rates and open new markets.
He pointed out that the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development is one of the leading national financial institutions that provide investment opportunities for national companies and the UAE private sector inside and outside the UAE.
The Abu Dhabi Export Bureau, established three years ago by the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD), aims to support national exports and manage the trade risks they face, which will encourage them to enter new markets regionally and globally and enhance their competitiveness for sustainable economic growth.
Abu Dhabi Exports also reinforces the role of the UAE government in consolidating its prominent position on the world trade map. The UAE is an important and influential player in the paths of import, export and re-export regionally and internationally and is among the top 20 exporting countries globally since 2007 and the first Arab since 2013 .
Abu Dhabi Exports was launched after a comprehensive technical study on assessing the need for the UAE market to establish an export support and financing platform that operates within international best practices in cooperation with the Korea Export and Import Bank.
ADCB finances up to 100% depending on the type of financing used, the risks and the nature of each export transaction. The financing conditions include the fulfillment of creditworthiness requirements and the commodity or service to be exported from UAE origin.
