The value of financial subsidies provided by the federal government represented by the Ministry of Community Development amounted to 1.42 billion dirhams during the second quarter of 2019 in an indication of the continued keenness of the state to provide support to citizens to strengthen family cohesion and community cohesion, which is a key element of the overall development in the country.
The value of subsidies made up about 6% of the total expenditure of the federal ministries amounting to 24.4 billion dirhams during the second quarter of this year, according to statistics issued by the Ministry of Finance.
The Federal Government’s support through the Ministry of Community Development includes social and price subsidies as well as direct cash support to beneficiaries.
Support also includes people with disabilities, the elderly, social welfare and marriage grants, as well as other family-oriented services.
Indicators of community cohesion, through which the enjoyment of the community’s values ​​and principles associated with national identity, social solidarity and community partnership among all components of society are among the most important indicators of the UAE Vision 2021.
