The Federal Authority for Identity and Nationality, Customs and Ports Security has updated the application fees for candidacy for obtaining a golden residency in the UAE for a period of 10 years, to reach 150 dirhams instead of 50 dirhams previously, and includes the authority’s fees, electronic services fees, and smart services fees.
The authority called on foreigners in the country and abroad who wish to obtain a golden residency, to check their eligibility for obtaining it on the website http://smartservices.icp.gov.ae or the smart application UAEICP and follow the steps and instructions to complete the procedures.
She explained that the nomination request is a service according to which a preliminary electronic approval is issued for the issuance of the golden residency, which includes 9 categories, namely: “brilliant talents, scholars and specialists, investors in public investments, investors in real estate, entrepreneurs, high school students, graduates of state-accredited universities, graduates of Universities accredited outside the country, and workers in the first line of defense ».
And “Identity and Nationality” identified 5 steps that require their implementation to submit the application: filling in the data and attachments, as compulsory and optional documents differ according to the data entered in the application, paying the fees, providing the service after submitting the application, and receiving and receiving the e-mail transaction for the applicant. Noting that there are 3 channels in which applications are received, which are “the authority’s website or smart application, customer happiness centers, and printing offices accredited by the “identity and nationality”.
The Authority indicated that the application will be rejected electronically after 30 days have passed in the event that the application is returned due to deficiencies in the data or lack of completion of the required documents. The application will also be rejected if it is returned 3 times due to the presence of deficiencies in the data or failure to complete the required documents.
She added that only the issuance fees and financial guarantees “if any” are refunded in the event that the application is rejected, as the fees are refunded by credit card within a period not exceeding six months from the date of submitting the application, or by the procedures followed according to a check or bank transfer to banks located within the country only and for a period not exceeding five years. .
The authority called on foreign dealers to also benefit from the updated visa system that it recently introduced by entering the authority’s website and smart application.
