What are the cases and activities that are excluded from the Wage Protection System procedures? The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation answers these questions, as it identified 6 cases that are excluded from the procedures of the wage protection system, namely:
First: The worker who has a labor complaint related to wages that has been referred to the judiciary.
Second: The worker against whom a report of absence from work has been registered.
Third: The new worker within a period of 30 days from the entitlement of the wage.
Fourth: The worker who is on leave without pay during that leave period, with the submission of the required evidence from the Ministry in accordance with the rules.
Fifth: Seafarers working on board ships, through a request submitted by the establishment.
Sixth: Foreign workers working in foreign establishments or their branches inside the country who receive their wages outside the country, after the approval of the workers and through a request submitted by the establishment.
The ministry also identified 4 activities that the establishments that practice them are excluded from the wage protection system, which are:
First: Fishing boats owned by individual citizens.
Second: Public taxis owned by individual citizens.
Third: banks and banks.
Fourth: places of worship.
