Zayed University rises in the knowledge dissemination index according to the “Times Higher Education” classification

Zayed University – the leading institution in providing innovative higher education methods – has witnessed a noticeable increase in the knowledge dissemination indicator “citations” from academic scientific research published by academics and researchers at the university, by up to 13 percent compared to last year’s rankings of Arab universities, according to a report. Published by the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2023.
Dr. Michael Allen, Acting Vice Chancellor of Zayed University and Head of Academic Affairs, praised the concerted efforts made by the university to increase the publication of scientific research during the current year.

He said: “We are always looking at Zayed University to expand the research base by working to establish new research centers in the university. Following the desired path of transformation and development in line with the country’s national agenda.
According to the Times Higher Education Indicators methodology, the citation score is checked by recording the average number of times university publications are cited by researchers worldwide.
The citations help show the extent to which each university contributes to the level of spreading knowledge around the world, and indicates the extent of the excellence of the published research and the extent to which it is selected by other researchers to be shared in the global academic community with the aim of expanding the horizons of knowledge in all scientific fields.
It should be noted that Zayed University, which is currently implementing a comprehensive transformation strategy with the aim of providing better job opportunities for its graduates, has been ranked among the best 61-70 universities at the regional level, noting that as of August 2022, all new students have joined the programs of the College of Overlapping Studies. New majors, which are taught using the best interactive learning techniques.
