Dubai attracts 141,000 investors in 10 months, with a growth of 110%. Licenses jump 49% to 71,489

The Emirate of Dubai has achieved a strong economic performance since the beginning of 2022 until the end of October, as it received 141,170 new investors with a growth of 110 percent, compared to 67,276 investors during the same period in 2021, according to the data of the “Dubai Business Map” of the Department of Economy and Tourism.

The data of the “Dubai Business Map” indicated that the local market in the emirate recorded more than 863606 investors who added new licenses to their activities during 10 months of 2022, compared to 118,550 investors in the same period in 2021, with a growth of 628%.

The new licenses recorded a clear growth from the beginning of this year until the end of October, by 48.7%; It reached 71,489 licenses, compared to 48,048 licenses in the same period in 2021.

The new licenses issued until the end of last month varied between professional, commercial and industrial, where professional licenses constituted the largest share of the total new licenses issued, with a rate of 51.6% through 36,929 licenses, and commercial licenses came second with 34,034 licenses equivalent to 47.6%, and industrial in third place with 346 license.

In terms of the distribution of regions; The Bur Dubai region acquired the largest share of the number of new licenses with 47,301 licenses, then the second Deira region with 23,193 licenses, the third was the New Dubai region with 951 licenses, and finally Hatta with only 36 licenses.

Last October witnessed the registration of 7,515 new licenses, 14,093 new investors and 77,606 investors who added new licenses. And registered professional licenses 3,523, commercial 3,960, and industrial licenses amounted to 32. Bur Dubai achieved 4,655 licenses, Deira added 2,747, and New Dubai was limited to 108 new licenses.
