Dubai Islamic Economic Development continues to implement its strategy

His Excellency Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy and Chairman of the Dubai Center for the Development of Islamic Economy, said that the UAE is moving forward in establishing its global position as the capital of the Islamic economy and continues to work to update strategies and action plans to suit the rapid changes of the global economy in general and the Islamic economy in particular.
Speaking at the third meeting of the board of directors of the Dubai Islamic Economic Development Center for 2019, HE said that the center is discussing revising its strategy for 2020 three years after its implementation in 2017, in order to translate the message of the new season by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and President of the UAE. The Council of Ministers and Ruler of Dubai “may God bless him” to every sincere UAE and all those involved in the march of achievements in the UAE.
He added, “ Our figures in the economic sector continue to flourish.However, we are not one of the countries that move according to the average economic rates, but our ultimate goal is to achieve the jumps and shorten the time, which is the idea on which the vision, mission and hopes of the UAE are based and from which the efforts of our economic institutions are made to bring the country to the fore. “ What makes the UAE the most competitive country in the region and the most prepared for the future, ” said Al Mansouri, “ is that he has the courage to face the facts, review the accounts and continuously modify the strategies to move as fast as possible into the future.
We are determined that the Dubai Islamic Economic Development Center (DEDC) will continue to conduct periodic reviews of strategies and action plans to suit our changing world and ongoing economic developments. ”
He pointed out that “in 2017, the Center updated its strategy after the completion of the first phase of implementation, which has been identified in three years, and did not begin to adopt its updated strategy before ensuring its alignment with the local and global economic changes and the strategy and trends of the UAE.”
He continued, “ With the close cooperation of strategic partners and working in a team spirit, the Center continues to implement its plans to consolidate Dubai’s position as a global destination for all those interested in the Islamic economy.Therefore, the International Islamic Fiqh Academy Conference will be held in Dubai next November and will be organized by the Department of Affairs. ” Dinar Standard will also launch the Islamic Economy Portal (Salam Gate) in its new form in October in partnership with the Center.
He said: “The national economy, at the heart of which the Islamic economy in all its sectors, continues to consolidate its position globally within a reality that recognizes the global changes around us and rejects stability and rigidity.”
HE Issa Kazim, Secretary General of the Dubai Islamic Economic Development Center, said: “Working with our strategic partners to build a unified global reference for the sectors of Islamic economy in preparation for the next phase of growth and expansion of the sector. He highlighted his priorities as being the way for the Islamic economy to reach new stages of growth.
He added that the launch of Salam Gate in its new form is a very important strategic step to keep pace with the growth of the Halal and Islamic finance sectors .. Development, refinement and modernization of strategies and continued adherence to the best international standards is what will bring the Islamic economy to its desired position.
Salam Gate is one of the unique initiatives launched by the Center as a global reference in providing the information, news and data needed by those interested in the Islamic economy. It currently includes a database of more than 10,000 international companies active in the sectors of Islamic economy and publishes dozens of articles, researches and news. The portal is linked to Islamic economy standards and has thousands of registered users of the portal services and newsletter. Salam Gate has received over one million visits in 2018 and has a strong presence in the Middle East, South Africa and South Africa. Asia.
During the Board Meeting, Mr. Abdullah Mohammed Al Awar, Executive Director of the Dubai Islamic Economic Development Center (DEDC), presented the latest developments in the strategy of Dubai as the capital of the Islamic economy and the proposed budget for 2020 and the efforts of launching the Islamic Economy Portal “Salam Gate” in its new form aimed at becoming a global reference for the Islamic economy.
