Sultan allocates 4.5 million dirhams to provide libraries with the latest publications of “Sharjah International Book”

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, directed the allocation of 4.5 million dirhams to provide Sharjah public and government libraries with the latest publications from publishing houses participating in the activities of the 41st Sharjah International Book Fair.

The grant of His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah, embodies the emirate’s vision in building a knowledge society, and the availability of wide sources of books covering various scientific, literary and cultural fields, Arab and foreign, as it represents a distinct addition to the library content of knowledge, science and literature that enriches library patrons from the general readership, students and researchers in the Emirate of Sharjah. .

The grant also provides direct support to the publishing industry at the Arab regional and international levels through what Arab and foreign publishing houses participating in the exhibition obtain from the grant purchases.
It is noteworthy that the publishing houses participating in the 41st edition of the exhibition amounted to 2,213 Arab and foreign, from 95 countries, and they present various publications including children’s books, encyclopedias, law books, science, literature, thought, applied arts and other knowledge that meet the interests of readers of all age groups.
