H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received Mevlut Cavusoglu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey.
During the meeting, they discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation and partnership between the UAE and the Republic of Turkey and efforts to enhance them to achieve the common interests of the two countries and their peoples.
His Highness and the Turkish Foreign Minister also discussed a number of files of common interest, including food security and energy, and exchanged views on developments on the regional and international arenas.
His Highness congratulated His Excellency Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu on the resumption of the agreement to export grain through the Black Sea to international markets.
He praised the great efforts made by Turkey to continue to implement this agreement, which it signed last July in Istanbul with the Russian Federation and Ukraine, with the participation of the United Nations.
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed the visit of His Excellency Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, stressing the keenness to invest in the available opportunities to enhance their bilateral cooperation in all fields in a way that supports the development paths in both countries and brings benefit to their peoples.
The meeting was attended by Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State.
