Sharjah Business Women Explores Business Opportunities in Thai Markets

The Sharjah Businesswomen Council, affiliated to the Namaa Foundation for the Advancement of Women, recently organized a trade mission to the Thai capital, Bangkok, with the participation of a number of members of the council during which a number of companies working in the fashion, jewelery and business services sector met and reviewed the most prominent business opportunities offered by Thai markets.
The trade mission is part of the council’s efforts to support women entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs in the UAE and continue to pave the way for them to explore promising opportunities in global markets and share experiences with business owners, investors and business partners in their field.
The delegation was headed by Sheikha Hind Bint Majid Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah Business Women Council, with the participation of Reem Bin Karam, Director of Nama Foundation for the Advancement of Women, and Erm Mazhar Alawi, Senior Advisor to the Executive Office of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi Of the staff of the Council.
Sheikha Hind bint Majid Al Qasimi explained that the visit of the Sharjah Business Women Council to Thailand is in line with the global economic trends towards emerging markets because of the growth rates and the emergence of new sectors based on services, trade and real production based on assets, making the Thai markets favorable for foreign investment in sectors Fashion accessories.
She stressed that the East Asian markets account for a large share of growth in the fashion and jewelry sector, which requires the search for new investment opportunities in them, pointing to a set of investment incentives provided by the Thai Investment Council and other government agencies such as exemption from fees or reduce and facilitate registration procedures in addition to support services And a range of government-supported activities.
Sheikha Hind bint Majid Al Qasimi said that these facilities are very similar to the policies adopted by the emirate of Sharjah to encourage investments and start-up projects to facilitate the trade exchange between the two countries’ markets and women entrepreneurs.
On the first day of the visit, the Sharjah Businesswomen Council organized a seminar entitled “The Future of Business Led by Women” with the participation of about 50 participants of businesswomen, dignitaries and Thai officials, as well as businesswomen from the Council and participants under the umbrella of the delegation in order to explore the role and status of women entrepreneurs. The future of the global economy and strengthening the network of the members of the Council with their counterparts in Thailand and discuss the opportunities to enhance trade exchange and cooperation in sectors that are promising growth between the two countries.
