Intensive investigations by the Saudi Ministry of Trade and Investment, in support of the Joint Security Campaign in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor, have resulted in the seizure of more than 29,000 spare parts for fake and fake oil and air filters at a warehouse in Riyadh.
It was found that one of the warehouses in the city of Riyadh is used as a factory where the re-packaging of fake parts imported from China and the development of trademarks of world famous brands, and found more than 382 thousand (cartons and memories) with the names of international brands.
The teams raided a laboratory run by an Asian national in Riyadh’s Al-Olya neighborhood, where more than 9,000 counterfeit and counterfeit items were found in the international inkjet brand, in addition to tools and equipment used to fill inks. The workers were handed over to the security authorities and the owners of the establishments were summoned to listen to their statements. Referral to the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
The Ministry confirmed its intention to address the violators of the system of combating commercial fraud and the trademark system, to complete the application of legal procedures against them, to defame the violators in the local newspapers at their expense, to deport the offending workers to their countries and to stop and prevent commercial activity.
