Scientists from the Max Planck Institute and the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf discovered that bird sounds reduced anxiety and paranoia in people suffering from depression.
And the journal Scientific Reports indicates that German researchers subjected 295 depressed volunteers to listen to audio recordings of bird sounds, and realized that bird sounds positively affect mental health.
The researchers found that chirping birds reduced the level of anxiety and paranoia, while the sounds emitted from the roads on the contrary exacerbated their condition, and this was more evident when the sounds of cars and motorcycles were combined.
