The activities of the fourth day of the Liwa International Festival in the Tel Mereb area in Al Dhafra witnessed strong competition on the first day of the falconry competitions, which was allocated to the owners category, with the participation of 178 birds in the 4 categories of the competition.
In the Jeer Shaheen category, Mujran Muhammad bin Mujran won the first place with a time of 20.25 seconds, and Ahmed Muhammad Al-Marri came second (20.282 seconds) and Abdullah Rashid Al-Mansouri came third (20.518 seconds).
In the Gear Pure category, Ahmed Rashid Al Khaili won the first place (20.583 seconds), Mohammed Khalfan Al Mansouri came second (21,183 seconds), and Rashid Ghanem Al Hajeri came third (21,457 seconds).
In the Gear Tabaa category, Abdullah Khamis Al-Hasani (20.314 seconds) finished first, but Butti Ahmed bin Mejren came second (20.547 seconds) and Hamad Faleh Al-Nuaimi came third (20.682 seconds).
In the Gear Garmousheh category, Saeed Abdullah Al Falasi (20.184 seconds) came in first place, Hamdan Al Mansouri came second (20.211 seconds), and Sari Al Mansouri came third (20.766 seconds).
Abdullah Butti Al Qubaisi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Liwa Sports Club, crowned the winners in various categories at the end, in the presence of members of the organizing committee of the tournament.
The participating falconers in the owners category expressed their happiness at the return of the falconry competitions at the Liwa Festival, as it is one of the expected dates for them on an annual basis.
Tomorrow, Wednesday, the competitions of the third and last day of the Falconry Championship, which was allocated to the Granis, will start.
In the Liwa Drift Championship at the Moereb Circuit as part of the festival’s competitions, Jordan’s Ahmed Daham won first place, Kuwaiti Misyar Al-Nawaf came second, and Emirati Mohammed Nasser Al-Harbi came third.
The competitions began with the participation of 39 cars, which entered through a series of performances throughout the various qualifiers, as part of the strong participation of many stars and professionals in the championship.
