Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) launched a new initiative to activate dialogue and partnerships between private sector representatives in specific sectors in the Emirate of Sharjah.
The Chamber initiated the launch of the initiative by organizing a business meeting for companies operating in the food industry and trade, attended by more than 30 companies between food manufacturers and traders.
The new initiative includes organizing periodic business meetings during which the Chamber will collect specialized companies in a specific business and other companies that buy and export the products of these companies in a step that has positive dimensions including encouraging the local product.
The meeting was attended by Abdul Aziz Shattaf, Assistant Director General, Member Services Sector, Director of the Sharjah Export Development Center and Saif Al Matrooshi, Director of Membership and Certification Department at Sharjah Chamber.
The meeting witnessed a presentation on the services provided by Sharjah Export Development Center through training and facilitating the participation of exporters to market their products in foreign markets.
Abdul Shattaf pointed out that the new initiative represents a step forward towards launching a serious and effective dialogue between the private sector.
He explained that the meeting allowed the Sharjah Chamber to learn more about the private sector’s proposals, development opportunities and the best way for the Chamber to help private sector companies develop their businesses.
The participants praised the competitive advantages offered by the Emirate of Sharjah to investors, where the emirate has a modern infrastructure that supports their business and provides added value.
