Dubai, January 23 / The Dubai Chamber of Commerce, one of the three chambers operating under the umbrella of Dubai Chambers, announced the launch of 4 new business groups, including the agricultural industries business group, the furniture and home furnishings business group, the flower and flower dealers business group, in addition to the tire dealers business group.

The new business groups are added to the list of economic sectors and activities that the Dubai Chamber of Commerce focuses on developing and enhancing its contribution to the emirate’s economic growth, within the framework of the Chamber’s plan to raise the number of economic sectors and activities represented by business groups to 100 sectors and economic activities by March 2023.

Mohammed Ali Rashid Lootah, Director General of Dubai Chambers, pointed out that economic diversification in the emirate is a competitive advantage added to the many competitive advantages that Dubai enjoys, stressing that the launch of new business groups will support economic diversification, consolidate the growth process, and unify the voice of companies operating in these sectors and economic activities. To ensure its good representation and its ability to bring about change in Dubai’s growth process.

Lootah noted the important role played by business groups and the private sector in strengthening the partnership of the public and private sectors, considering that this partnership is the pillar of development and development in the business environment, and an integral part of the plans for making the future of Dubai’s economy, stressing the role that the Chamber plays in strengthening the foundations of this Partnership, and developing the role of the private sector in drawing up policies and legislation supporting the business community.

The UAE is a global market for food and beverages. According to a report by Euromonitor International, sales of fresh vegetables increased during the period 2017-2022 by 17%, legumes by 21.4%, meat by 21.4% and other fresh foods by 16.1%.

The new business groups work to unify the voices of their members to discuss challenges, opportunities and prospects for growth, and come up with innovative solutions to enhance the performance and competitiveness of the economic sectors and activities they represent, and work to develop partnership relations between their members and the various parties concerned in order to achieve the goals of the business groups.

Business groups represent the interests of the sectors and protect their objectives, and play a vital role in setting appropriate recommendations for policies and legislation to enhance the competitiveness of the business sectors they represent.

The Dubai Chamber of Commerce plans to increase the number of working groups representing economic sectors and activities in the emirate to 100 groups by March 2023.
