G20 summit Commences today with focus on Global economy

Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has expressed his country’s desire for the G-20 to add momentum to the reforms of the World Trade Organization, warning at the same time of risks that could lead to a global economic downturn.
Abe urged the leaders of the G-20 to take the necessary measures to stimulate the global economy.

Trump explained that the digital economy needs a free flow of data and protection of privacy and intellectual property strongly.
The G20 summit, hosted by the Japanese city of Osaka, began today and will continue until Saturday, in the presence of a number of leaders and world leaders to discuss many important economic issues on the agenda of the summit.

The summit will discuss a number of issues related to the global economy, international trade, investment, innovation, environment, energy, jobs, development, etc., as well as ways to enhance cooperation between emerging markets and developing countries and follow up the implementation of the United Nations agenda for sustainable development.

The first day of the summit witnessed a number of bilateral meetings between leaders and heads of delegations of the G-20 countries, amid a large presence of the international media.
