The Saudi Energy Efficiency Center has launched its awareness campaign, which is the largest of its kind. It aims at demonstrating the importance of rationalizing energy consumption and its optimal use at every moment to ensure its continued growth and survival for us and our children without any effect on the welfare of the citizens.
The campaign is the center of awareness campaigns for the Center, which has been launched annually since 2014, as part of its efforts in cooperation with several government agencies working as one system to coordinate their efforts to control the increase in energy consumption in the Kingdom under the umbrella of the Saudi program for energy efficiency, Excessive energy, and raise their efficiency.
The five-week campaign presents energy and consumption changes over the past decades, and how to maintain them to achieve many of the current and future positive impacts and remain for us and our children, while consolidating many concepts and behaviors related to energy conservation by presenting all the messages and advice provided by previous awareness campaigns To the Saudi Center for Energy Efficiency, to raise awareness and change the behavior of energy consumption of members of the community to conserve energy and savings in electricity and fuel bills.
The campaign focuses on many of the Center’s initiatives, including capacity development and rehabilitation of local energy efficiency personnel. The campaign also provides information and statistics on energy consumption in the building, land and industrial sectors, and comparisons of the expected savings between the types of cars on the one hand The consumption of fuel and the consumption of air conditioners for energy, as well as the results of control rounds at the customs outlets and local factories and the outlets and warehouses that took place during the years 2014 to 2017, in order to apply technical specifications and standards related to energy efficiency.
The campaign aims to reach out to various groups and members of the society in the cities of the Kingdom through the use of all means of communication available to the traditional media of newspapers, radio and satellite channels, and will focus on most of the means of social networking and famous sites on the Internet, As well as various road plates in all cities of the Kingdom, and can be identified all the information and advice to rationalize consumption through the site of the campaign (www.taqa.gov.sa).
