The gross domestic product of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi at current prices reached AED 587.4 billion during the first nine months of 2017, a growth of 10% compared to AED 533.624 billion in the same period of 2016.
The growth was supported by improvements in oil and non-oil activities since the beginning of 2017, according to figures released by the Abu Dhabi Statistics Center, which monitors the movement of activity in the emirate on various levels.
The Abu Dhabi GDP Index shows that the first quarter of 2017 was the fastest growing segment, rising by 19% to AED 196.372 billion compared to AED 164.946 billion in the first quarter of 2016.
The value of oil activities in GDP at current prices reached 61.2 billion dirhams, with 31.2% of the total registered output.
The value of participation of non-oil activities in the GDP of the Emirate amounted to 135.163 billion dirhams with a participation rate of 68.8%.
